Mazatlán Has Received 22 Cruise Ships in 2026, Generating Over 110 Million Pesos

As part of the 2026 International Carnival, Puerto Vallarta receives tourists from “Norwegian Bliss” cruise ships

Mazatlan, Sinaloa, February 12.- The Ministry of Tourism confirmed that so far in 2026 the arrival of 22 cruise ships is reported, with more than 90 thousand visitors to Mazatlan, which translates into an economic spill of more than 110 million pesos.

In this context, with the inauguration of the International Carnival this Thursday, February 12, the port received more than 4 thousand tourists who arrived on cruise ships of the “Norwegian Bliss“.

At 7:30 a.m. this day, the ship arrived in Puerto Vallarta with 4,191 passengers and 1,624 crew members.

During the first half of the month, the arrival of seven boats with more than 25 thousand tourists to Mazatlan was reported, who take the opportunity to tour historical sites such as the Historic Center, the Malecon, the Plazuela Machado, the Golden Zone, and the Diver.

For her part, the Secretary of Tourism, Mireya Sosa Osuna, stressed that the arrival of ships reactivates and strengthens the economy of the city, thanks to the fact that it impacts the trade and transport sectors.

He also said that he projects to the world the cultural, natural, gastronomic, and human wealth of Mazatlan.
