Currently positioned as one of the country’s leading sun and beach destinations, thanks to its abundant recreational and cultural attractions, Mazatlán is consolidating its position as an attractive destination for national and international cruise tourism.

A statement reported that official figures from the Sinaloa State Government indicate that this year alone, 75 tourist vessels have arrived at the port, bringing more than 283,000 visitors, generating an estimated economic impact of more than 446 million pesos. This is mainly due to the interest of international visitors to experience the pearl of the Pacific.

“Mazatlán continues to position itself as one of the country’s leading sun and beach destinations, thanks to its diverse tourism, gastronomy, and hospitality, allowing it to shine as one of the favorite destinations for international cruise ships, which this year have chosen the port on their routes so their passengers can enjoy its beaches, tourist attractions, and exquisite cuisine,” highlighted Mireya Sosa Osuna, Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa.

With 3,600 passengers on board, the impressive state-of-the-art ship Royal Princess arrived this Tuesday, delighting tourists with tours of the city on traditional pulmonias, exploring its tourist attractions, and even taking them on rural excursions.

From tasting fresh seafood with a quality suitable for any palate, to diving with sharks and activities with sea lions, Mazatlán manages to far exceed the expectations of foreign tourists who enjoy high-end experiences and choose world-class destinations.

At the end of the year and the beginning of the next, the trend continues, as more and more international tourism companies discover the port as a strategic and valuable location for their potential clients.
