The State Government is providing road patching and maintenance services with state funds, reported the Secretary of Public Works, Raúl Montero Zamudio.

He specified that the state government is responsible for the maintenance of the Benito Juárez Highway and feeder roads.

He mentioned that during the rainy season, they will continue to address any potholes and damage that may occur.

He noted that the municipalities request machinery and equipment to address potholes and sinkholes, and they are coordinating with all the municipalities to provide this assistance.

“We maintain the Benito Juárez Highway and feeder roads, and they maintain the federal highways, but we have good coordination with the SICT,” he said.

Montero Zamudio mentioned that patching is being addressed throughout the state, including federal sections such as the landslide reported a few days ago on the Badiraguato to Parral highway or the constant patching on the coastal highway with permanent crews due to the rains.

He added that the State Government is addressing what the rains allow, which is filling and stabilizing the road, so that when there is no rain, the necessary work can be carried out.
