Los Cabos-BCS. – After the business sector expressed its concern that mobility has increased, especially on beaches now with the new normal, CPS News made a tour of various beaches in the municipality of Los Cabos on Sunday, on the occasion of Father’s Day, finding that in some of them the healthy distance was not respected or the established protocols were not complied with.
At Palmilla beach it was found that there was some control of bathers, but it was not observed that they were taking the temperature of the bathers.
While there were a large number of bathers on the El Médano beach, the healthy distance was not respected and the bathers were not taken for temperature; what to say to respect the 30 percent capacity according to the new normal.
Likewise, on this tour it was found that La Empacadora beach in Cabo San Lucas was closed due to what happened with access to the Arch, which was also confirmed by Zofemat and the Mayor of Los Cabos.
For their part, citizens reported that on Palmilla beach, last Friday, the schedules were not respected, since after 6 in the afternoon there were still bathers.
Even on Palmilla beach, vehicles used as parking the area where fishermen put their boats into the sea, that is, it is an access not for vehicles, that space is used as a beach and for the use of bathers, this when the parking is on the side from the stream just 50 meters away and is well defined and is for 40 or more units.
It is worth mentioning that this issue of the concentration of many people on the beaches was addressed by the business sector of Los Cabos to the authorities of the three levels of government, so the protocol on the reopening of beaches was disseminated.
The concern, which was also raised by the president of the Board of Directors of the Los Cabos Hotel Association, Mauricio Salicrup, was that there is a risk that there will be a re-emergence of Covid-19 and that everything will stop again. and to the confinement and that the hotels close again and with it continue the economic inactivity.
For this reason, both the president of the Coordinating Council of Los Cabos, Julio Castillo Gómez, and the president of the Board of Directors of the Hotel Association, Mauricio Salicrup, were insistent on calling citizens to go to the beaches, but take care healthy distance and thus avoid a recurrence of the pandemic.
