The Sinaloa Institute of Culture in the southern region announced the various activities that will take place during the month of September at the Mazatlán Art Museum, featuring local and national artists.

Under the direction of the Museum’s director, Mario Alberto Chávez Noriega, the opening of the group exhibition “Threads, Hands, and Life” is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, at 7:00 p.m., under the direction of María Muñiz.

The first book exhibition “Artist 2025 Cardinal Points” will be presented on Thursday, September 4, featuring artists from Sinaloa.

The opening of the group exhibition “Lost Paradises, Found Landscapes” will take place on Friday, September 5, and the group exhibition “Light of Roots, Fires That Never Go Out” will take place on September 19.

María Muñiz stated that the embroidery workshop will host the group exhibition “Threads, Hands, and Life,” which will showcase various works made by the students in the course.

“Its main objective is to recover that ancient tradition, to re-spin dreams, to weave memories, to mix colors, to explain to students that craftsmanship, craftsmanship, and art with threads and embroidery are things that come together and evolve.”
