In light of the heavy rains recorded this Thursday, hoteliers are providing accommodation and food to employees stranded by flooding.
In light of the Civil Protection ban on traffic on Camarón Sábalo Avenue and surrounding flooded streets, El Cid executives asked employees in the area to stay at the hotel because there would be no way to get them to their jobs.
Most hotel workers, those at nearby shopping centers, and restaurants were notified to register for a census and support was provided not only with lodging but also with dinner.
This initiative by the hotel sector was apparently also adopted by other lodging centers to avoid endangering the thousands of workers who, every time it rains, cannot find transportation to return home, as happened this Thursday.
