Missing soldier found alive in Mazatlán; hands tied behind back and signs of torture

An Army soldier named Fernando “N,” reported detained last weekend along with a young woman in the Ricardo Flores Magón neighborhood of Mazatlán, was found abandoned, showing signs of torture, with his hands tied behind his back near the soccer stadium in the port.

Mazatlán Municipal Police officers were alerted that a man was lying near the intersection that connects to the highway leading to Nayarit; upon arriving, they requested the presence of emergency personnel.

The emergency personnel took him to a hospital for specialized medical attention, as he suffered several bruises. It is unknown what happened to him, as he was listed as missing.

According to the available information, the soldier, Fernando “N,” was allegedly detained by armed individuals along with a young woman on July 4th. Several search operations were carried out in the area, but without success.
