The collective “For Voices Without Justice” asserted that it has not received threats or pressure for the recent searches and discovery of human remains.

Spokesperson Alejandra Martínez Carrizales stated that their work remains focused exclusively on locating missing persons, without assigning responsibility.

“Fortunately not, because as we have always said, we are not looking for culprits, that’s all. We are not looking for culprits, we are not pointing fingers at anyone,” said Martínez Carrizales.

She added that the collective’s focus remains on finding those who are missing.

“We only care about finding them; that is our only objective,” she added.

The spokesperson insisted that this position has been constant since the beginning of their fieldwork.

“As we have always conducted ourselves this way, we hope this serves as a message that we are only interested in finding them and giving them a dignified return,” she stated.

On another topic, Martínez Carrizales explained that the group has identified limitations in the resources available to authorities to support them during the searches.

He noted that they recently shared a note to highlight this situation.

“We are requesting that more equipment be sent or provided to forensic services,” he stated.

He explained that the forensic staff has shown a willingness to collaborate, but lacks what they need.

“Although they are fully willing to work and accompany us, they lack the equipment and personnel to expedite our searches,” he concluded.
