Progress on the World Trade Center Project in Mazatlán: Municipality Seeks to Facilitate Its Creation

The construction project of the “World Trade Center” in Mazatlán is gaining strength. Now it is the municipal government that is seeking to bolster it by providing facilities for its establishment on the land where the legendary bullring “Eduardo Fountanet” stood for years.

In the 63rd ordinary Council session, the plenary unanimously authorized the issuance and publication of a decree that allows the president and the director of Urban Development to authorize the modification of the number of levels of land use for this project.

Councilwoman Claudia Peña Chico pointed out that with this decree they intend to authorize this project in the city, which would be established between Rafael Buelna, Francisco Solís, and Reforma avenues, at the request of the company named INNS, S.A. de C.V.

“In accordance with the powers mentioned in article 2 of the Construction Regulations of the municipality of Mazatlán, corresponding to the authorities and competencies of both the city council and the municipal president and the Sustainable Urban Development Directorate, they can issue the land use opinion and grant the construction license for the project requested by the company, which was duly discussed and approved by all the members of the Municipal Council in full.”
