Individuals who were close to drowning were rescued in time, and assistance was also given to a woman who fainted.

Municipal lifeguards saved from death or assisted four people in different beach areas of Mazatlán this Sunday during the day.

A bulletin reports that elements of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat assigned to preventive operations and recommendations in the various beach areas were active in bringing to shore people with difficulty getting out, and also provided medical attention.

The difficulty in getting out of a rip current were the factors for which the municipal police lifeguards activated support and rescue protocols at Sábalo Uno (Golden Zone) and Brujas (in Cerritos) beaches, with two people, and Isla de la Piedra where a minor was brought to safety.

In another intervention, the elements provided support to a woman who presented a fainting spell, and later personnel from the Red Cross took over the situation.

The instruction to continue preventive tours due to the effects of the Swell will prevail during Monday.
