Daily life. This is what makes the difference between just vacationing abroad and moving abroad, whether that may be temporarily or permanently.

Transitioning from your everyday rhythm that you’re used to into one that goes along with Mexican daily life can take time and effort. It requires you to adapt to new routines and responsibilities that might not exist back home. A great example is getting bottled water. In the Netherlands, we’d drink tap water.

So shifting to bottled water was quite something. Not actually drinking from it, but the logistics of always having enough water at home.
