Sinaloa registers a significantly low incidence of dengue cases

Culiacán, Sinaloa (October 19, 2023). – The epidemiological panorama of dengue places Sinaloa in week 40 of the year with 109 confirmed cases to that date, a reduction of more than 50 percent compared to the same period in 2022 in which 253 were recorded.

According to the document issued by the Ministry of Health at the Federal level, of the total cases reported in Sinaloa, 43 of the cases correspond to dengue with warning signs (38) and severe dengue (5), a figure reduced to a third with compared to last year when 147 were reported in the same week.

However, in terms of deaths, the decrease is not marked since in both years by week 40, one death from dengue was already recorded in the entity, which appears with an incidence rate for the disease of 3.16 cases for each 100 thousand inhabitants.
