MAZATLAN. – The Committee of La Noria Mi Pueblo Querido called to massively commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Tianguis Gastronómico Artesanal 2023, which is organized as a first-level event.
The president of the Committee, Luis Carlos Salas Marchen, stressed that there will be a series of emotional activities for the enjoyment of visitors. The attendance of around two thousand people from various parts of Sinaloa is expected, as well as tourists from different corners of the country and even from abroad.
“We have been doing it for five years now and successful business models have been developed and have also become part of the rich gastronomy that we have in Mazatlán. From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Miguel Hidalgo square, in La Noria, will host a variety of events and regional products.
The participation of 20 stands is expected to offer a wide selection of favorite snacks, from tamales to artisan boxes, cheeses, gorditas de nata, cocadas and natural fruit bowls. In addition, there will be crafts made of leather, wood, palm, ixtle and blacksmithing.
In the festivities there will be live music, regional dances and there will be the graduation of the tourist hosts “Los Cuchis Noreños”, where a recognition will be given to the group La Nueva Estrella, for its almost 40 years of musical career leaving its mark on the whole country.
Who are the Cuchis Noreños?
This is a group of 30 children and adolescents, between the ages of 6 and 18, who have successfully completed their training to become the first generation of Tourist Hosts in the community of La Noria.
Martín Ochoa López, Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries of Mazatlán, highlighted the importance of initiatives like this, which involve children and create small ambassadors to promote and preserve traditions.
“It is very important and encouraging to see how children and youth are involved in promoting their community, history, and traditions, which generates a sense of belonging,” he said.
The Undersecretary of Tourism, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, was also present at the fifth anniversary presentation event, who expressed all the support from the Sectur in Sinaloa, to promote this type of event.
