Municipal authorities deploy surveillance operations for this vacation period on Mazatlan beaches

MAZATLAN. – It is better to prevent! Bathers who wish to access the different beach areas in Mazatlán will be able to do so, but within a schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., according to Eloy Ruiz Gastélum, coordinator of Municipal Civil Protection.

This is due to the frequent cases of drowning and rescue that have occurred in recent months, incidents in which at least eight people have lost their lives for ignoring when entering the sea.

“From seven in the evening, no bather can be in the sea.”

But do not be alarmed, this schedule only applies to being in the sea. If what you want is to be sitting on the sand, you can do so as long as you do not violate the rules of staying on the beaches.

He pointed out that people who do not comply with the instructions will be referred to the civic judge of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat, especially if they are intoxicated. However, first they are given a recommendation and explained that they are being taken out of the sea for their safety, he explained.

“There are always things that need to be taken into consideration. Recently, many bathers have been detected who enter while drunk.

What can’t be done? It is forbidden to make camps or put up tents to sleep on the beaches, also for security reasons. Therefore, it is invited to consider other rest alternatives.

The municipal official stressed that they have already deployed a surveillance operation for these holidays with more than 150 elements that will take care of all citizens.
