Mazatlán and Culiacán are the main municipalities that receive the greatest investment in hotels, restaurants, shops and automotive agencies

MAZATLÁN. – The state of Sinaloa is a favorable place for investment, as evidenced by the great interest of national and international companies in various municipalities of the entity, which have come to invest in different sectors and further position the destination.

Miguel Hernández Fonseca, president of the Federation of National Chambers of Commerce in Sinaloa, pointed out that the economy in the region has experienced a remarkable change compared to last year, and that there are currently several growth projects of great importance in the state.

He highlighted that in Mazatlán and Culiacán there are several projects in the short and medium term in hotels, restaurants, shops and automotive agencies, which contribute significantly to economic development.

«Regarding the hotel industry, there are around 20 new projects, including condominium towers. In the business line, the arrival of various gastronomic and spare parts brands is expected, as well as car dealerships of Asian origin. In Mexico, there are more than 10 Asian car brands that want to establish themselves here, and they are already looking for land. This is something positive,” said Hernández Fonseca.

He added that there are also several projects of international importance that seek to settle both in the capital of Sinaloa, Culiacán, and in the port of Mazatlán.

However, he mentioned that many brands prefer not to reveal the exact location of their establishment due to possible bureaucratic complications that could put the investment at risk.

The Fecanaco leader also said that the Costco store has plans to open in Mazatlán, initially they intended to be located on Rafael Buelna Avenue, and it could be in the vicinity of what will be the World Trade Center, where the Plaza de Toros is.
