The Mexican National Team reported on Wednesday that they have agreed to a friendly match against their counterpart from Guatemala for June 7 at 8:00 p.m. (Central Mexico time), being the main novelty that for the first time in their history they will play at ” The Kraken ” stadium in Mazatlan, Sinaloa.

El Tricolor defined another preparation match for the Final Four of the Concacaf Nations League, recalling that it had previously tied another against Cameroon on June 10.

Mexico’s head coach Diego Cocca is aware that they must improve in many aspects since in his first games as head of the Tri, they have generated many doubts with a lackluster victory against Suriname and a tie in the Azteca Stadium versus Jamaica, in addition to the equalizer in the friendly match against the USA, now his next rival Guatemala is commanded by the Mexican Luis Fernando Tena, so it will be an interesting challenge.

The Mexican Football Federation has highlighted the balance of the matches against the Guatemalans is 23 wins, nine draws, and four losses.

Although the Nations League is not the only important tournament that Mexico is facing this year, as they will have to play in the 2023 Gold Cup.
