May and November are the best months in Mazatlán, because the weather is perfect for tourists visiting the port

MAZATLÁN.- The port of Mazatlán no longer needs so much of the vacation periods, because with the weekends and the spaces for congresses and conventions it has to maintain the activity. Such is the case that in May a great rebound is expected in this segment, where there will be at least 5 large-scale events.

The Undersecretary of Promotion, Meetings Industry and Tourist Operation, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, highlighted that the month started with an active start with the National Convention of the Mexican Red Cross, and will continue with the InfoAgro event, where at least 15,000 people are expected, and it will maintain hotel occupancy at 100 percent.

Velarde Cárdenas shared that one of the factors that favors Mazatlán is the weather that persists in May, ideal for going for a walk.

“Without a doubt this month will be very positive for the industry, the challenge is to maintain activities every month, but we know that there will be months when the weather is favorable to us, such as May and November,” said Velarde Cárdenas.

This month the International Congress of Administration, Accounting, Marketing, and Business Management will also be held, from May 4 to 6; the international congress Psychology and Sexuality, from May 18 to 20; the Criminology and the Justice System congress, from May 25 to 27, and the CIFE Academic congress, Forensic and Educational intersections, from May 17 to 20.

The third edition of the InfoAgro Exhibition will be held at the Convention Center from May 24 to 26 and an economic benefit of approximately 180 million pesos is estimated.

Another sector that has been generating activity in the port are concerts and music festivals. Only in May will the concert of Los Tigres del Norte take place.

At the beginning of June, the D’Sea Fest Mazatlán 2023 festival will be held, where the invited artists are expected to attract visitors from other municipalities and, why not, states of the Republic.

The businessman shared that Mazatlán is a very attractive destination, and that another niche that is being reactivated is the health sector.
