MAZATLAN. – The subsidy for electricity is guaranteed for Sinaloa, as confirmed by the governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya during the week.

He informed that this would enter into force as of May 1 and will be in force for 6 months until October 31.

Rocha Moya stressed that they have sought to manage that the period of the subsidy has greater coverage, but that until now nothing has been achieved.

“The subsidy will operate the same as last year, it is already contemplated, I already did the management and it will operate in the same period, even we wanted it to be expanded a bit and we have not been able to achieve it.”

The governor explained that, regarding the issue of the purchase of power plants made by Andrés Manuel López Obrador, president of Mexico, from the Iberdrola company, he trusts that electricity will have a lower cost.

He estimates that soon the benefits of the acquisition will be reflected in the price of electricity for citizens, since he hopes that the costs will be lowered.

What is the subsidy?

The Summer Subsidy of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) is a discount aid that the parastatal offers to families of some entities during the summer.

This rate applies to all services that allocate energy for exclusively domestic use, for loads that are not considered high consumption, in accordance with the provisions of the High Consumption Domestic Tariff (DAC), individually connected to each residence, apartment , apartment in condominium or house, in locations whose average monthly temperature in summer is at least 30 degrees Celsius.
