This International Civil Association provides health care free of charge to newborn children and up to 18 years of age

MAZATLAN. – At last! After many years caring for Sinaloan children and adolescents with emergencies and illnesses, Shriners Hospital will arrive in the state to provide that care more closely.

This was announced by the Shriners community itself in Sinaloa, who reported that they will create a temporary “hospital” in Culiacán but they are waiting to find land to build temple number 200 to stay permanently.

Arturo Gómez Ortiz, president of the New Northwest Shriners Temple, shared that the temporary hospital will provide care to patients from Sonora, Baja California, Baja California Sur, and Sinaloa, from north to south.

“Possibly now in the summer we will have an outpatient clinic in Culiacán, which will come to benefit all the boys and girls, if they have to be treated in the morning, they can return home in the afternoon or if they require an operation that can be performed, we do it right there,” said Gómez Ortiz.

He added that they provide free care to newborn babies and up to 18-year-olds, the services in greatest demand are for orthopedic problems, severe burns, cleft palate, and spinal cord.
