The Aquatic Rescue Squad performs only three services at different points in the port

Mazatlán, Sin.- Of the little more than 28 thousand people who were on the beaches of Mazatlán during the long weekend, only three of them required some attention from the Aquatic Rescue Squad.

“It was a relaxed weekend, because in a matter of attention we only did three, being a single rescue and two losses that thank God were resolved, the long weekend attracted many people, we know that these days are the most in flow of people, and we have to be alert, whether or not we have care to provide,” said the squadron commander, Gustavo Espinoza.

Although there has not been much activity, the work is hard because there are many people in the beach areas.

“Do not think that because there was not much attention, we did not work, in reality I think that this must be attributed to the fact that we doubled our efforts to maintain that order, there were 28,000 people on the beaches during the weekend, you can applaud the rest of our elements for showing that serenity to work and above all managing to reduce the numbers, and more so during a long weekend”.

Espinoza pointed out that the attentions will continue and that they expect the numbers to balance positively, as up to now during the weekends and in the next Easter holiday period.

“We will continue working hard so that everything goes well, the goal is always to leave with zero attention, because our job is not only to go in to rescue, but also to prevent these incidents from happening.”
