Ecology and Environment staff of the City Council seeks to address the uncontrolled reproduction of dogs and cats, which generates a population of stray animals
Mazatlán, Sin.- To mitigate the uncontrolled reproduction of dogs and cats, which generates a population of homeless animals, the municipal government, through the Department of Ecology and the Environment, took its free sterilization campaign to the union of El Quelite.
This service came to the community this weekend at the request of the inhabitants in one of the citizen tours carried out by the Mayor of Mazatlán, Edgar González Zatarain, for which a visit to the town was planned to carry out the sterilization of pets.
A total of 10 dogs and 3 gratos were operated for free by Ecology staff, this campaign aims to prevent overpopulation of pets and their abandonment.
This Saturday, March 11, La Noria will be visited, so its inhabitants were asked to take advantage of this benefit.
For those who wish to sterilize their animals, it is recommended to fast for 12 hours prior to the operation, not to bring lactating females, cats with a minimum age of four months and dogs with a minimum age of six months.
