Mazatlán, sin.- This Tuesday the first tourist cruise of the 20 that are scheduled for the month of November arrived in Mazatlán. It is the luxurious “Discovery Princess”, Royal class.
The luxurious vessel brings on board around 4,600 passengers and crew, most of them adults with high purchasing power.
During their stay in this destination, visitors enjoyed the main tourist attractions of the city and the rural area of Mazatlan.
The Discovery Princess is the third ship designed from the ground up of the Medallion Class ships and is the last of the Royal Class . She offers passengers innovative experiences, as well as cuisine prepared by world-class award-winning chefs.
The president of the Mazatlán Chamber of Commerce, Roberto Lem González, estimated that this segment of tourists leaves an economic spill of 120 dollars per person during their stay in the port.
“Cruise passengers spend well, we estimate that they leave an economic spill of 120 dollars for each one and leave many benefits to the sector, it is tourism with great purchasing power that leaves many benefits to the port,” he said.
November Programming
According to the programming of the Integral Port Administration of Mazatlan, the arrival of 20 vessels from seven shipping lines is scheduled for this month.
The arrival of the “Carnival Panorama” is expected on Wednesday and the “Norwegian Bliss” on Thursday, while the return of the “Disney Wonder” cruise ship is expected on November 26 .
