Culiacan, Sinaloa. – From March to August, the State Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks of Sinaloa has verified a total of 132 aesthetic medicine clinics and/or spas, of which nine have been closed and 15 more have been suspended, for not complying with certain requirements.
Informing the above, the head of this body of the Ministry of Health, Eng. Randy G Ross Álvarez, said that this operation, which has been carried out throughout the state, is in response to the instructions of the governor, Dr. Rubén Rocha Moya, and the Secretary of Health, Dr. Cuitláhuac González Galindo, to preserve the health and integrity of Sinaloans.
He indicated that, according to the registration list for this type of establishment, whose total sum is 233, 190 correspond to the central region of the entity, which includes Culiacán and Guamúchil, where 90 were verified and two were closed and two more suspended. because they did not have an operating notice and the personnel who worked there did not have a medical profile.
The north (Los Mochis and Guasave), he added, are 12 registered, although 25 were intervened and, of this number, three were secured and nine were suspended.
The causes were due to performing invasive procedures and supplies were secured.
Ross Álvarez mentioned that, in the case of the southern zone, based in Mazatlán, there are 31 clinics and/or spas and, of them, 17 were reviewed, which resulted in four being insured and four more suspended. In these, supplies for invasive procedures were secured and some did not have an operating notice.
To conclude, he stated that, within this situation, the positive thing is that many businesses of these lines have approached Coepriss to regulate themselves and thus avoid sanctions such as those mentioned above, however, he warned, the number of those that continue is high. operating outside the law and that put people’s health at risk, for which he made a call to denounce any risk situation, in this regard.
