Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – Nayla Adilene Velarde Narváez, Senior Official of the City Council, stated that the trips made by the Mayor, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, have been worthwhile and have shown visible results throughout the city and rural areas.
Velarde Narváez estimated that the result of the trips has been reflected in the total crowds that can be seen from Monday to Sunday, so that the majority of the inhabitants of the port benefit directly or indirectly from the tourist activity.
“I think that everyone can see a before and after of the administration of Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, when he entered in 2018. He has not only dedicated himself to making trips, as they have wanted to see, to begin with, these are exits to encourage investment not forgetting that we live in a tourist port”, he stressed.
He argued that another of the benefits that have been brought to the port is an increase in airline flights, which are full because they are turning to see Mazatlan, not only within the Republic but also abroad in other countries.
“When they come here to Mazatlán, they fall in love with what Mazatlán is, with how much this city has grown and of course the administration has to do with it, of course the citizens have to do with it, but let’s not leave aside the fact that this government has been recognized for all the citizen works that it has in neighborhoods, main avenues and to mention a few the Rafael Buelna, the Camarón-Sábalo and not to mention the Gabriel Leyva”, he added.
The municipal official suggested that the media should support and take the position of mentioning Mazatlan favorably, so that citizens can benefit more and more people can learn about the name and brand of this beach destination.
“One of the surprises that the Mayor has had on his trips is that in some countries they did not even know what Mazatlán was and that is what these trips to other places do,” he concluded.
