Less than a year after its inauguration, the road has already been intervened on at least four occasions due to breakdowns in the hydro-sanitary pipe.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- This Monday, August 15, the Jumapam will make a repair to the drinking water distribution network in the 24 -inch diameter line, in the ” renovated ” Gabriel Leyva avenue due to a leak of the vital liquid for several weeks at the height of the Sanctuary of Guadalupe.

Due to these works, it is expected that the pressure of the service supply in some neighborhoods and the city center will drop, so it is recommended to take precautionsstore water and avoid activities that require its use in abundance.

This drop in pressure will be noticeable in the neighborhoods and subdivisions located from Insurgentes Avenue to El Faro, from 8:00 in the morning and until 4:00 in the afternoon.

In addition, due to the excavation and repair maneuvers, the road flow will be reduced to a single lane from north to south, at the height of the Sanctuary of Guadalupe.

Interventions

Since its inauguration in October of last year, this would be the fourth time that the avenue has been intervened to repair faults in the hydro-sanitary pipe.

The total investment of “this great work ” was 310 million pesos that, less than a year after its inauguration, in addition to the damage to the pipes, has highlighted the early formation of potholes, the traffic light system that has not been synchronized and vandalism in urban equipment.
