If we compare ourselves with sun and beach destinations, such as Acapulco or Cancun, we certainly have much fewer problems, but we must recognize that they have good network management, admits Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas.
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- As a sun and beach destination, Mazatlán today enjoys exponential growth in all senses, including security, compared to other tourist destinations in Mexico such as Acapulco and Cancún, which continue to be the benchmarks at the international, and perhaps due to the good management of social networks, acknowledged Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas.
However, the Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries in the Mazatlán City Council, pointed out that they, together with businessmen in the industry, add synergies and do work because they promote this destination in other markets such as Europe, which turns to this area of Mexico and come to enjoy the beaches and enjoy the gastronomy, as well as other natural attractions.
“Businessmen do market studies, and those market studies show that Mazatlan is in a moment of growth and security and confidence for the investor, so I think it is important that we take care of the advertising that we send abroad because also if we compare with sun and beach destinations, such as Acapulco or Cancun, without a doubt we have much fewer problems, but we must recognize that they have good network management”.
Velarde Cárdenas asserted that apart from the “travel alerts” that the United States of America issued in recent days with its compatriots, where it put Sinaloa as an unsafe place, except for the port of Mazatlán, it is in charge of further promoting the spaces and positive things that everyone can enjoy in quiet places.
The municipal official said that it shows that work is being done to guarantee a calm state, as was said by the Governor himself, Rubén Rocha Moya, who defended that security spaces have been recovered.
Velarde Cárdenas pointed out that they even recently signed an agreement to “package” Mexico City with Mazatlan, which allows the culture and all the attractions of that area of the country to be complemented with a point of sun and beach, in addition to which they will use next October in Hispanic week to promote the area in Spain as well.
