The Mazatlan company manages to supply 60 percent of the national market with its marine products.
MAZATLAN. – The port of Mazatlan is home to the most important tuna plant in Mexico and Latin America, said the businessman and president of Grupo Pinsa, José Eduvigildo Carranza Beltrán.
During the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Inapesca, he explained that Pinsa employs 7,200 people, and manages to supply 60 percent of the national market, something that shows that they have complied in favor of the distribution and access of seafood to the Mexican population.
He said that for more than 30 years Pinsa has struggled to do things well, and this is reflected in the fact that it is a leading company worldwide.
“We were criticized for those five pesos of diesel that we received, but here they are, they did not leave, here they are very well invested,” he stressed.
The businessman presumed that Grupo Pinsa has contributed, not only to promoting the consumption of marine products and providing employment but also to fishing infrastructure.
“Where there were no docks, no dredging, we had no shipyards, but now we are a school, the most important producers in the country, and at the same time we have the best staff in the process of distribution and fulfillment,” he explained.
“It is not just one person who does all this, we are all together, the Government, scientists, community, that is what we must preserve,” he concluded.
Pinsa sells in Mexico, the US, Chile, and Colombia, with more than 100 products from leading brands: Dolores, Mazatún, and El Dorado.
