INAPESCA is getting ready for the investigation of this maritime product in the country and if so required, it will be released to commercial fishing.
MAZATLAN. – The general director of the National Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Pablo Roberto Arenas, commented that there are groups of fishermen who have requested the authorities to release commercial dorado fishing, which, until now, is reserved only for sport fishing.
He pointed out that this proposal is being analyzed by the Secretariat of Fisheries and Conapesca, while Inapesca researchers are ready to do what is appropriate in research issues.
“We all know that there is an abundance of dorado, and it grows very fast and travels many kilometers. In Central America there are fishmongers selling dorado”, he said.
It is not feasible to close Conapesca
Regarding the initiative for a possible closure of the National Aquaculture and Fisheries Commission, Víctor Manuel Villalobos Arámbula, Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that there is a delay due to the previous administration, but it has been solved.
For example, he said, there were pending applications that have already been ticked off.
Isn’t it feasible to disappear this instance? She was asked
“I would think not, it is a very important institution, and it is the only institution that guarantees us that, effectively, we can continue in the future envisioning increasingly responsible fishing,” he concluded.
Ecuadorian shrimp does not enter into negotiations between Mexico and Ecuador
Villalobos Arámbula strongly denied that shrimp, as a product, is included in the negotiation of the Free Trade Agreement that is intended to be signed between Mexico and Ecuador.
“Well, as we have reported, shrimp is not in the negotiation,” he stressed.
He recognized that one of the urgencies on the part of the fishing sector is that the marine diesel subsidy be returned, although he did not promise anything in this regard.
And he said that the support of 7,200 pesos per fisherman from the Bienpesca program has already begun to be distributed.
