The head of Sedectur plans to meet with investors from the department store, but it will be after the Tianguis Turístico de Acapulco

MAZATLÁN.- The construction of a Costco in Mazatlan remains firm, but it will not be until after the Tianguis Turístico in Acapulco, when the Mazatlán Secretariat of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries holds a meeting with investors, indicated the head of the municipal agency, Ricardo de Jesus Velarde Cardenas

He commented that there are great possibilities that said investment will be able to stay in the port, supported by the growth that has been had in hotel infrastructure investments, as well as other turns, if compared to other destinations.

“Mazatlán is already a city that is developing and growing, I do no more or less of the work that Ahome is doing, it is doing it well, but without a doubt, today, Mazatlán is a city that in terms of tax incentives it has all the doors open and more and more brands are betting on it, this is not the work of chance, and I am convinced that Costco is going to open in Mazatlan,” he said.

The official said that for the construction of the second department store of this brand in the state, Mazatlan has great facilities and tax incentives for development and growth, which have benefited the port as an investment destination.

On the other hand, he added that the Tianguis Turístico, already has more than 13 meetings agreed with hotel chains, in addition to opening an important branch with the same brands, including the opening of another Marriot hotel, one of its 12 brands that handle.
