Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – The president of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism in the south, (Canaco-Servytur) Roberto Lem González, acknowledged that, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the opening of shopping centers has been reactivated and with it the generation of employment.
Lem González, maintained that before the health contingency, they had closed with approximately 13,900 affiliates and in 2019 they dropped to 12,000, but right now they already exceed 15,000 affiliates.
“We already have a recovery and the enthusiasm of many investors to reopen the places that had been closed in Mazatlan. We have seen the opening of many small plazas, especially in the north of the city, and yes, a lot of investment is coming to Mazatlan,” he stressed.
How, for example, he said, in the north of the city, there are some shopping malls that are just being built and the premises are already practically one hundred percent sold.
“These are places that make their commercial premises for sale and many of them for rent and they are practically occupied before the development is finished and we have practically been recovering employment here in Mazatlan,” he added.
He insisted that, for this reason, the job that had been requested has been recovered and to date, more than 15,000 members have joined the chamber.
