Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- In Mazatlán, unlike Culiacán, the anti- COVID vaccination certificate will not be required to enter the beaches, nor will the use of face masks be mandatory because they are open spaces, declared Nayla Adilene Velarde Narváez.

The senior official sees the provision as unnecessary because Mazatlan is green, and apart from that, it is difficult to request the certificate from all tourists, as well as the use of face masks on the beaches.

The local official specified that the health protocols and guidelines will continue to be applied in closed spaces; events, restaurants, clubs, bars, and in different businesses, as a preventive action.

Even though the inspectors of the Subdirectorate of Commerce, 35 sanctions were lifted over the weekend to different businesses for incurring various faults.
