Around 30 people took the Malecón de Mazatlán
MAZATLAN. – Within the framework of the International Day of Trans Visibility, the second march was held to demand the rights of transgender and transvestite transsexuals.
In this way, the LGBTQI+ community begins with the fight for their rights, continuing with the Lesbian Visibility Day, on April 26, until reaching Pride Day, on June 28.
Another of the dates that the group celebrates is the International Day to Come Out of the Closet, on October 11.
The demonstration began at the Monument to the Fisherman heading to the Parque Ciudades Hermanas, where they had a small meeting thanking all the participants.
The president of the Trans Collective in Mazatlan, Hazzel Peraza Castro, said that the purpose of this march is to raise awareness among citizens against discrimination.
The march was colorful, with flags of the collective, as well as other groups that united in support of all people (Transvesti, Transgender and Transsexual).
Upon arriving at the esplanade of the Ciudades Hermanas park, a temple was placed to thank all those involved.
