Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Officially, the Felipe Ángeles International Airport was inaugurated and put into action with the first operation of the arrival of a flight from Villa Hermosa, Tabasco. Also, in this important event, Sinaloa did not go unnoticed.

During the morning press conference, the Secretary of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval, declared from the AIFA facilities that during the first day of operation there will be 20 air operations, including commercial flights, private flights and cargo operations. Likewise, there will be two general aviation flights from the United States, in private planes; as well as two cargo operations of the Incom company, which will arrive from Nuevo Laredo, Texas, and Saltillo, Coahuila.

The Governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, was present at this event, accompanied by the mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, as well as the President of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Servytur México, Héctor Tejada Shaar and the Secretary-General of this chamber organization, Guillermo Rodríguez Romero.

For his part, López Obrador pointed out that from this day on, it will be a matter of airlines increasing their trips.

“I think the airport is 100% complete, completely finished. Planes can travel 24 hours a day, take off and arrive 24 hours a day with modern radar systems,” he said.
