Mazatlan Sinaloa. – No to child labor! The DIF Mazatlán system has issued 12  administrative acts or fines for detecting minors working prior to the start of the 2022 Carnival edition. Therefore, it has the operation ready, which begins with greater force this Thursday to eradicate this bad practice during the maximum party Mazatlan and more because hundreds of vendors from different parts of the country arrive at the destination, said Gabriela Peña Chico.

The president of the system for the Comprehensive Development of the Family in the Municipality specified that in the operation that will be deployed in the tourist’s face, staff from the Attorney General’s Office, Municipal Police, and the DIF work to end child labor.

“Many people with children come to work in Mazatlán and that is where the Attorney General’s Office and DIF Mazatlán are intensely; children should not work and their rights should be respected”

“Right now, yes, there are approximately 12 minutes drawn up and the second is already proceeding legally,” he said.

Peña Chico invited the population to report if they see or detect a child working in the Carnival to 911 or directly to the DIF offices, at 9-12-80-00 ext. 224 so that the Attorney General’s Office can proceed because the minors must be at home, in school, enjoying their childhood, and not working.
