Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The Christmas and end-of-year festivities have increased demand in Mazatlán restaurants, where 80% reservations are registered for dinner on December 24.

The president of the National Chamber of the Restaurant Industry and Spiced Foods in Mazatlán, Rodrigo Becerra Rodríguez, said that a good stage is marked after the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He commented that according to the records of his members, since last Monday the demand for assistance from diners generates encouraging expectations, as has not happened since 2019.

” It’s high season, it’s the December dates, it’s the best time of the year, from December 20 to January 1 are the busiest days of the year, ” he said.

He pointed out that only the reservations for these dates, to them as restaurateurs in the port, indicates that the situation, despite everything generated by Covid-19, is better than in 2020.

“We are between 80 and 100 compared to what we were in 2019, a very favorable economic recovery is seen after having an absence of diners for several months, and that this year the tourism that will come to pass these dates to Mazatlán, It revives them again, ”he said.

The Canirac leader pointed out that on the part of the destination, and especially the sector it represents, all preventive measures are being taken to reduce as much as possible the risks of catching Covid-19.
