Sinaloa: After the United States Government offered a reward for the capture of four children of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán Loera, the Attorney General of the State of Sinaloa reported that it does not have arrest warrants, so it ruled out that they are being searched.

Prosecutor Sara Bruna Quiñones Estrada explained that at least in Sinaloa, the home state of the Guzmán family, neither Ovidio Guzmán López  nor Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar nor Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar nor Joaquín Guzmán López, have criminal records for crimes.

However, he specified that international collaboration agreements are the responsibility of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), so in the case of “Chapo’s” children, based on the regulations and existing agreements between the federation and the states, it would be supported in any action at the request of the party.

The children or any family member of Joaquín Guzmán Loera has a criminal record in Sinaloa, nor is there an arrest warrant, said the Sinaloa Attorney General.

In a press conference, the prosecutor Sara Bruna Quiñónez Estrada, specified that the relatives of the Sinaloan capo do not have a criminal record, at least in the common jurisdiction.

She explained that if required, they will collaborate with the federation in the investigations against any of the members of the Guzmán family after the United States Government launched a reward for people who provide information about their whereabouts.

“As for collaboration, it would be a matter of federal order but it depends on the agreements, we could collaborate if we are required by the FGR,” he mentioned.

When specifically questioned whether in Sinaloa there is an arrest warrant against Aureliano Guzmán Araujo, alias “El Pelón” or “El Guanito”, son of the drug trafficker Aureliano Guzmán Loera alias “El Guano”, she ruled out such fact.
