Mocorito to hold its Chilorio festival this weekend

Mocorito Sinaloa.- The Secretary of Tourism in the state, in coordination with the municipal government of Mocorito made the invitation for the second chilorio festival, which will take place next Saturday, December 18 in the magical town.

Mocorito is the cradle of joy and flavor, only by tasting a Chilorio or dancing and listening to the music of the band, do you feel the impetus and dynamism of a land made for adventure and fun.

José Norzagaray Parra, municipal director of tourism of Mocorito, explained that the event will have more than 40 gastronomic exhibitors, there will be folk dance dances, participation of children, band music, and launching of balloons among other activities that will take place during all day.

“An event that certainly leaves a pleasant taste in your mouth because going to Mocorito and not trying the chilorio, pretend they weren’t. An event that is framed in the heart of the historic center of Mocorito and where in addition to having 40 gastronomic exhibitors, we will have the opportunity to enjoy folk dance, children’s entertainment, we also have balloon launches, traditional band music, recognition to our exhibitors ”he said.

For her part, the head of the Sectur in the entity, María del Rosario Torres Noriega, Secretary of Tourism said that they will not only be supporting the ports but also the magical towns and a sample of this is the support to develop this event.

“The mandate of the governor Rubén Rocha Moya is not only Mazatlán but in all municipalities, and we are traveling all over the state, we are encircled by magical towns, stately towns, I have already been twice in Mocorito, pleasantly surprised by the activities they are doing” manifested.

During the event, Maria Elizalde de Ruedas, municipal president of Mocorito, as well as María Guadalupe Payán Gutiérrez, Director of Tourism of Mocorito, was also present.

Location

Mocorito is located 50 to 975 meters above sea level, the diversity of its vegetation includes tropical savannas, low jungle, mountains and lands available for agriculture. In this way, its temperature can average between 25ºC with differences in summer and winter that can reach 10ºC.

Mocorito is one hour 40 minutes from Culiacan or Los Mochis and 3 hours 45 minutes from Mazatlán.

Being to the northwest of Sinaloa, it borders to the north with Sinaloa, to the south with Navolato, to the southeast with Culiacán; to the east it meets Badiraguato and to the west with Salvador Alvarado and Angostura.
