Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The director of the Tourist Attention and Protection Center, Astrid Macías Fregoso, described the results as very positive since technological tools such as This is the case of the MZTOURISTAPP application.
“We were doing a dynamic within the application to promote it and motivate visitors to the tianguis with the raffle for a trip to Mazatlan, this trip was supported by many businessmen who joined this initiative to get to know the city from living the experience”, she asserted.

“With that motivation, they downloaded the application and registered right there to participate in this raffle. So, that was a very successful strategy from the perspective of generating more downloads for the application, “she said.
The municipal official said that the intention of Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres is to promote and offer this application since it is totally free and is available to any municipality that wants to adopt it and for those who want to implement it.
The mobile phone application MZTOURIST APP was successfully promoted at the Tianguis Turístico Mérida, Yucatán 2021, so much so that there was interest in being adopted by other tourist destinations, revealed Astrid Macías Fregodo, head of the Tourist Attention and Protection Center (CAPTA).
“If there was interest in adopting this application and doing something comprehensive. We are going to be waiting to be able to support them in making that donation totally free and accompany them in the process to implement it, which is a whole team effort ”.
She added that in the country’s highest tourist event, they realized that no destination has a tool like the MZTOURIST APP, since only Tamaulipas has an application in which businesses are promoted but it was not developed in the state, as is the case. of the Mazatlán that was created by the municipality.
She said that a strategy that was used to publicize the service provided by the Mazatlán City Council to tourists and locals was to hold a raffle in which those who downloaded the app participated to win an all-paid trip to the “Pearl of the Pacific”, on the date on which the lucky person decides.
“This trip was supported by many entrepreneurs who joined the initiative, the promotion was to approach people to download this application and in it there was a banner that said participate in a raffle for a trip with the experience to Mazatlán, then people with that motivation downloaded the application ”, she pointed out.
She indicated that 75 people who attended the event participated in the dynamic, and the winner was a woman from Torreón, Coahuila.
