Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Just over 7,300 people registered in the beach area from Isla de la Piedra to Cerritos beach, enjoying Sunday and the long bridge that is lived in the port, reported the Municipal Coordinator of Civil Protection, Eloy Ruiz Gastélum.

He highlighted that on the beaches of Cerritos and Brujas, Sábalo and Gaviotas in its four sections, Playa Camarón, Playa Norte in three sections, Olas Altas and Isla de Chivos, people came to enjoy a quiet day with the family.

He added that despite the large number of people in the beach area, the lifeguards only made 7 rescues on Sunday, without anyone putting his life at risk.

The municipal official indicated that it is not that you have not seen this large number of people in the beach area for a long time, but that it is the normal behavior for the holiday bridge on the Day of the Mexican Revolution.

Likewise, he rejected that there have been reports that tourism is not wearing face masks.

“I do not know, I did not have any report of that nature, in fact I went there on tours just as we have walked every day and we did not have any type of setbacks, no type of problems either. Are people following the protocol? Inside the businesses, shopping centers and shopping malls, the 100 percent health protocol is respected”he said.

Ruiz Gastélum said that when they are detected, and if necessary, the corresponding recommendations are made, that they should be placed appropriately, covering the mouth and nose and adjusting it more to the chin and what is the face.
