The Secretary of Public Works assured that the remodeling works are 97% complete

Mazatlán, Sin.- Next October 25, is the tentative date to inaugurate the remodeled Gaviotas beach avenue in the Golden Zone, reported Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, after a private meeting with the avenue’s merchants.

This meeting was also attended by the state governor, Quirino Ordaz Coppel; the Secretary of Public Works, Osbaldo López Angulo and the Secretary of Economy, Javier Lizárraga Mercado, among other municipal and state officials.

Mayor Benítez added that they had this approach with the vendors to guarantee the completion of the avenue and also to request their help to beautify their premises and thus attract more tourism.

On the other hand, López Angulo, assured that the work is already 97% complete, only missing details such as lighting and finishing the sidewalks.

” This avenue is 97% complete, we are waiting for the lighting to be installed and to finish the last of the sidewalk construction,” he said.

The side streets, which will also be remodeled, he indicated, were left for last, because through these roads they supplied the material to Gaviotas Beach. Garzas Street, he said, is practically finished, the only thing missing is Bugambilias.

The rehabilitation of the avenue began on June 11 with an investment of 71,327 million pesos in a total of 1,393 meters in length, including replacement of plumbing pipes, paving, street furniture, public lighting and flower boxes.
