To start this weekend, 240 ‘all-terrain vehicles’ arrive at the port, so events are expected in Mazatlán that will bring economic benefits
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism, and Fisheries of the Mazatlán City Council, Luis Terán Tirado, announced that the autumn and winter season for hoteliers and those who are dedicated to the tourism sector looks very good since a good occupation is expected; above 60 percent.
“There is a better occupation, a better economic benefit and there are good prospects for Mazatlán,” he reiterated.
The municipal official added that this weekend 240 off-road “all-terrain vehicles” from Durango arrive at the port and will be staying in a chain hotel, so events are expected in Mazatlán like every weekend.
He acknowledged that at the moment the national occupation is low, however, it will recover with cruise ship tourism and with the new flights that will arrive this winter from Saturday, October 2.
“After the arrival on October 2 of a Canadian airline with 160 passengers, we are very happy because two more are coming that are also Canadian flights and we will be arriving from 4 to 6 weekly charter flights in November, it is improved to 6 and December will go until 10 arrivals a week ”, he explained.
Terán Tirado, said that the rate of infections by Covid-19, has benefited the arrival of national tourism but more of international tourism that is already beginning to arrive and waiting for even more to arrive.
