The next upturn for the lodging centers will be for the long weekend of November, which is tied with the Buen Fin

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The national holidays will generate an occupancy of 60% in the accommodation establishments on Del Mar Avenue, estimated José Ramón Manguart Sánchez, president of the Tres Islas Hotels Association.

He stated that most of the reservations for September 15 and 16 are from the states of the northern economic corridor and the modality to travel is still by road, in your own car.

He commented that this rebound will be a respite for the sector since in this low season the hotels barely register occupations of 25 and 30% and on weekends they reach 40%.

He admitted that after returning to classes the situation is difficult, after this bridge then comes the long weekend of November, which is tied with the Buen Fin, and as there will not be a marathon that year, the next rebound will be after December 25.

” As long as we survive we are fine and we are at the equilibrium point, we already know how low September, October, and November are, ” he said.

Manguart Sánchez pointed out that in terms of rates, this is a good time to travel since the packages are very attractive and the demand is calm.

” If someone is planning to travel, right now is when, it is quiet, the occupancy levels allow there to be more spaces between the people, surely for December there will be more movement and there may be an adjustment in the rates because this is supply and demand ” he explained.

The hotel leader assured that they continue with the sanitary protocols to avoid contagions, even asking collaborators for a copy of their vaccination certificate to attach it to their files.

” We continue to be in constant communication with the Senior Officials Office in this regard, we want to cooperate so that there is no fourth wave, I believe that this would be a message for everyone, to make a commitment, it is part of the guarantees provided by the protection teams and the protocols, “he concluded.
