Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- 60% drop of tourist trips to the Stone Island in Mazatlan this weekend, since a decrease of visitors is recorded at the port.

According to ticket sellers at the pier, the influx of tourists was lower than in recent weeks, a situation attributed to the contagion of Covid-19.

” The holidays are already in a tailspin, this week will be the last one where more tourists are seen, the next it will be fewer, because families are already preparing for the return to school on August 30, ” he said.

The boatmen hope that this weekend the crossings to the island will pick up, because during the week it was the local people who used the service to the Island of the Stone.

Tourism service providers ensure that during transfers, sanitary protocols are complied with, including the use of face masks.
