At the Covid-19 Hospital, people between 18 and 40 years of age are currently hospitalized, most of whom have a history of travel to Mazatlán and Cancun.

The secretary-general of the National Union of Workers of the Ministry of Health section 32, Silvia Rivera, indicated that most were also already vaccinated with the development of Moderna – a vaccine that is applied in the United States – however, they could be trusted.

“Other characteristics is that many of them were already vaccinated, but they were among those who went on vacation, let their guard down and today we are with this type of patient,” he stressed.

He stressed that the vaccine against Covid-19 does not exempt the population from being infected again in addition that the more mobility there is, the more possibility there is of contagion.

“Today people are again incredulous and with this summer they want to take advantage of it to go on vacation,” he stressed.

In total, as of this Friday, there were 44 hospitalized patients, of which 14 have ventilator support, meaning that their health is serious.

He pointed out that the control of the disease also depends on what citizens do.

And he emphasized that health personnel are fearful of this third wave, and are tired, as they attend the new hospital and may have to return to the Covid-19 hospital for their care.

“Right now it will be difficult to return them to work at this hospital and I insist again with the lack of hospital,” he said.
