Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- “Faced with the rebound in Covid-19 cases in the port of Mazatlán, the application of sanitary protocols is essential and strictly mandatory, such as the use of a mask in all places, including public transport, closed places and centers of work, keep a healthy distance, apply antibacterial gel and generally reduce the capacity of people in the establishments up to 65%”, said the coordinator of municipal Civil Protection, Eloy Ruiz Gastélum.

He said that while the incidence of cases remains high, the actions will be variable and itinerant as the improvement and recovery of the people who are detected as positive and active also appear.

He added that sanitary measures have strengthened as time passes since the coronavirus pandemic began, and that, in this new rebound, meetings have been held every day to discuss the issue related to health.

Regarding access to the beaches, Ruiz Gastélum assured that for the moment there will be no closure, but control of the capacity inside the beach sections, with fences at the entrances.

He concluded by saying that the hotel sector of the town is already making the pertinent adjustments to guarantee and maintain sanitary measures, among them the healthy distance in its public areas, in this summer vacation season.
