Mazatlán, Sinaloa. – Through the mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, 10 more units were delivered to the Ministry of Public Security and Municipal Traffic, with a value of more than 8 million pesos.

These units were immediately incorporated into the surveillance and prevention tasks and are Ford F150, Model 2021, which required an investment of 8.75 million pesos, equipped with turrets, anti-impact bars and high-strength aluminum alloy bodywork.

Juan Ramón Alfaro Gaxiola, Secretary of Public Safety and Municipal Transit thanked the mayor for the provision of these patrols, which he said, will immediately join the preventive tasks.

“This day we are receiving another endowment of 10 more units and in the 25 years of police that I have, not a municipal president had turned to the Ministry of Public Security, until today we are seeing this change that the Ministry of Public Security required”, expressed the police chief.

When making the delivery, the mayor pointed out that during his administration 37 units have been acquired, in addition to 18 motor patrols, which allow the police corporation to be equipped with the tools to carry out its work and that results in safety for Mazatlan people and tourists, and that it is reflected in a downward statistic regarding criminal acts.

To date, 37 new municipal patrols have been acquired, some through federal and state support and municipal resources.
