The president of the Codesin southern zone revealed that with these lodging centers they add up an investment of more than 120 million dollars
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Mazatlán continues with hotel and entertainment tourism investment, since four chain hotels are currently being built.
The president of the Council for the Economic Development of Sinaloa, Alfredo Ruelas Solís, explained that these hotel projects have an investment of 121 million dollars and more than a thousand direct jobs.
He stated that the Center for Tourism Investment and Commerce Sinaloa has managed to attract these hotel projects that are already under construction, such as the Avid, with 90 keys, whose opening is scheduled for September; and the Courtyard Resort by Marriott, with 200 rooms, for October of this year.
He stated that the Fiesta Americana Zona Dorada will have 170 keys and its opening is scheduled for summer 2022, while the Dreams Resort Spa, with 350 rooms, will begin operations for December of next year.
” There are hotels of all levels, but these are chain, the market is so large that what it is demanding is to provide better quality for cost, which will surely bring tourism with a higher purchasing power. The options will be presented for all budgets and obviously, this is going to generate more people who want to come to Mazatlán, and obviously, the airlines are going to turn to Mazatlán, “he said.
Ruelas Solís stressed that Mazatlán continues to be attractive for investors since there are four hotel projects signed with 600 keys, an investment of 61.39 million dollars, and the generation of 400 direct jobs.
Despite the pandemic, Mazatlán continues with hotel and entertainment tourism investment.
He added that within the future projects for Mazatlán, there is another hotel project with a letter of intent with 150 keys and 17 more that have expressed their interest in investing, which would add 2,667 keys and two intentions of entertainment projects and services.
