Mazatlan authorities ready to monitor businesses for Children’s and Mother’s Day

The operations will be practically similar to last year, with the difference that this time the surveillance will be intensified even more.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The celebration of important dates such as Children’s and Mother’s Day is approaching and for this, the municipal authorities are getting ready in order to avoid possible contagions of Covid-19.

The Mayor Official of the Mazatlán City Council, Javier Lira González, indicated that the operations will be practically similar to those of last year, with the difference that this time the surveillance will be intensified even more.

“We are going to work the same as last year, an operation was carried out on May 10; we have identified the places (commercial establishments) that gather clients and we are going to intensify surveillance in those places,” he said.

The local official said that the inspectors daily have the task of doing their supervisory work and seeing that everything is within the guidelines and, in the case of Children’s Day, the operations are redoubled and intensified.

In the case of restaurateurs, Lira González, commented that they have not yet approached a dialogue to reach agreements so that the situation does not get out of control as it happened last year.

“They have not approached us but obviously we will agree because they are the first interested in making things work and we see that the protocols are complied with,” he concluded.
