Quintana Roo registers 230 business appointments at Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos

On December 9 and 10, the 2nd Edition of the Tianguis Nacional de Pueblos Mágicos was held, where San Luis Potosí was the host state, said the event was held virtually, we participated with the three Magic Towns of the state, Bacalar, Isla Mujeres, and Tulum, where national and international tourism professionals met, as well as the general public interested in knowing more details about these wonderful destinations, the event had the United States as a Special Guest.

For participation in this 2nd edition of the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos, SEDETUR coordinated with the municipalities to generate digital materials for dissemination on the event platform, these promotional materials can be consulted and downloaded here.

Likewise, we worked in coordination with the CPTQ, for the elaboration of a destination presentation focused on the magical towns of the State, which was published on the YouTube channel of Tianguis, for the general public and travel agents:

In the Tianguis there were around 500 visitors and the following results were obtained at the state level, 230 business appointments, of which Bacalar attended a total of 80 appointments, when talking about the Magic Town of Isla Mujeres, there was a total of 81 appointments and regarding the panorama of Tulum, we find 68 appointments.

As part of the activities carried out, the academic conference with the Panel of Best Practices on the public management of Magical Towns, the “Conference: Tourism for all in the Magical Towns Social and inclusive vision”, the presentation of the System of “Quality and tourist certification in the Magical Towns », the Orientation Workshop on sources of financing, investment and supply to tourist companies in the Magical Towns, in addition to the presentation of the“ National Strategy of Magical Towns ”and one of the most relevant topics of the moment, because Quintana Roo is socializing the Sustainable Tourism Master Plan 2030, the exhibition “Tourism Sustainability in Magical Towns”. 

Finally, in collaboration with SEDE and the Municipal Economic Development Directorates, 13 artisans participated, who will continue to exhibit their products on the Artisan Sales Platform for a year in the following link: https://tianguispueblosmagicos.com /handmade products/.

With these actions we reinforce the tourist promotion of our Magic Towns for the benefit of the state and its population, promoting artisans and the tourism sector in general. As our Governor, Carlos Joaquín has indicated, we will not leave anyone out of the benefits of the tourism sector.
