The Chiapas State Secretariat of Tourism delivered 12 certifications of the new Clean Point V2020 to tourism service providers in the municipalities of San Cristóbal de Las Casas and Tonalá.
During this event, the Undersecretary of Tourism Development, Erika Paola Mendoza Saldaña, mentioned the importance of implementing the methodologies developed by the National Program for Tourism Certification, applied by specialized consultants and registered with this agency, in order to obtain the newly renovated Quality seal.
In addition, he stressed the interest of the authorities not to lower their guard and guarantee hygiene within the business units, in addition to continuing to promote the training of personnel for a quality service to visitors.
This badge was awarded to the Al Grano Café Cafeteria and Villa Murano Hotel in the Magical Town of San Cristóbal de Las Casas and the establishments of Hotel Ko’Olebil in Boca del Cielo and Hotel Villa Murano in Puerto Arista, Tonalá.
It should be noted that the distinctive Punto Limpio V2020 has as its main objective to lead companies in the tourism sector to the incorporation of correct hygiene and sanitation practices, to protect the health of their clients, workers, and communities.
Clean Point Quality Seal
Its objective is to promote the incorporation of good hygiene practices in the management models of micro, small, and medium tourism companies, in order to protect the health of their clients, their workers, and the communities.
The Quality Seal “Clean Point V2020” is a recognition granted by the Ministry of Tourism and is endorsed by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Tourism Sector (restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, travel agencies, car rental companies, diving operators, leisure and entertainment centers, among others.), for having implemented the Methodology developed by SECTUR and applied by specialized consultants, registered with the Secretary in order to obtain the Quality seal. Which evaluates the points of Training of Managers, Hygienic Quality, Good Practices by Business Unit, Quality Assurance, Consulting, and Validation.
The lines that are endorsed by SECTUR are: Restaurants and Bars, Hotels and Motels, Cafeterias, Travel Agencies, Car and / or bus rental companies, Diving operators, Leisure and entertainment centers, Spas, Ecotourism centers, Water parks and / o Spas.
